Casting

Having chosen my artist and track, I must now find a suitable cast. My cast will only consist of one person, meaning I must make sure my decision is decisive and that the person is suited to the character I wish to portray. After speaking to various friends and class-mates, I have narrowed my choices down to 2 people. My decision on the chosen actor is shown below;

2 Possible choices;

1) Karl Tedder - Age 18

I have known Karl since I was 6-7 years old, meaning that we have a strong friendship. This I believe would make filming with him a lot easier, providing a comfortable atmosphere rather that an awkward no-working atmosphere. He has also performed in many of the school plays during his time at the boys school, meaning that he has had a lot of experience with acting. Naturally, Karl's appearance and style suits well to the mood of the song, however as he is working full time it would deem an un-realistic task  to produce a reliable shooting schedule with him. As a result of this, I feel working with Karl would be a struggle; in terms of time and availability.

2) Fernando Rocha - Age 19 (CHOSEN ACTOR)

In terms of friendship, I feel that my relationship with Fernando is the closest, having known him since I was 12 years old. Fernando's style and appearance and style relates strongly to the mood of the song. Having worked with him last year for my AS project, I know that he is committed when it comes to time pressure and dedicated to the acting during the shooting periods. From this, it is clear that Ferrnando would be a suitable choice for my chosen character. Also, as he only works part-time at this point, time and shooting arrangements shouldn't be a problem.
